Stephen King’s LISEY’S STORY Limited Series Adds Dane Dehaan
Apple’s eight-episode limited series adaptation of Stephen King’s Lisey’s Story with Julianne Moore, Clive Owen, and Joan Allen is coming soon from J.J. Abrams and Warner Bros. Television.
And today we’ve learned from Deadline that Dane Dehaan (Valerian and the City of a Thousand Planets, A Cure for Wellness) has joined the cast as Jim Dooley, a huge fan of Scott’s (Owen) books who feels strongly about his unpublished work being released to the world.
Are you excited about Dane Dehaan joining this upcoming adaptation of Stephen King’s Lisey’s Story? Let us know below in the comments or on Facebook, Twitter, or Instagram!
Written and executive produced by Stephen King, the story centers on a woman who lost her husband two years ago, after a twenty-five-year marriage of profound and sometimes frightening intimacy. He was an award-winning, bestselling novelist and a very complicated man.
Before they married, Lisey knew there was a place Scott went—a place that both terrified and healed him, could eat him alive or give him the ideas he needed in order to live. Now it’s Lisey’s turn to face Scott’s demons, to go to that terrifying place known as Boo’ya Moon.
Pablo Larrain (Jackie) directs the show from a series of scripts by King himself based on his novel of the same name. King, Moore, and Abrams executive produce with Ben Stephenson.
My favorite Dane Dehaan film is The Ring director Gore Verbinski’s A Cure for Wellness with Jason Isaacs and Mia Goth. Have you seen it? What did you think? Let us know below!
