WOMEN IN HORROR FILM FESTIVAL 2020 Announces Official Lineup

Yesterday, we shared the first, holiday-themed promo for the Women in Horror Film Festival 2020 (if you missed it, you can give it a spin at the top of the article). Today, organizers have announced the official line up for the event, happening this February in Atlanta. Read all about it below!

The Women in Horror Film Festival has been hard at work, preparing for the third installment of the fest.  Co-founder & fest director Vanessa Ionta Wright has restructured and relocated!  The festival will be held during national Women in Horror Month, February 27-29, 2020 at the historic Strand Theater on the Marietta Square just outside of Atlanta, GA.  When asked about the switch to February, Wright said, “What better way to close out national women in horror month, than with a huge celebration of female-driven genre film!”  Tickets are available at www.WIHFF.com.

The official lineup of films includes 4 feature films: Black Lake directed by K/XI, Cold Wind Blowing directed by Dionne Copland, Mass Hysteria directed by Arielle Cimino & Jeff Ryan and The Dark Red directed by Dan Bush.  There are 86 short films screening from filmmakers around the globe, including the Georgia premiere of Heather Langenkamp’s directorial debut, Washed Away.  You can see the full schedule and lineup of films and screenplays HERE.

Author’s Meg Hafdahl & Kelly Florence will be at the fest to sign their newest release from Simon & Schuster, The Science of Women in Horror.  Author Samantha Kolesnik is also scheduled to be at the fest to sign her debut novel from Grindhouse Press, True Crime. Local virtual reality company, Ionic VR will be onsite for attendees to experience the best in VR gaming and experiences.

To elevate the competitive factor, The Women in Horror Film Festival has added a special guest jury to  decide who goes home with the coveted Lizzie award:
