Celebrate FANGORIA the 13th With These Major Podcast Announcements!

After their highly anticipated resurrection as a multi-media powerhouse in 2018, 2019 has been a killer second year for the FANGORIA 2.0 master brand. The welcoming of Post Mortem with Mick Garris to their podcast network and the release of screen shockers like Satanic Panic & VFW are just a few of this year’s highlights, but wait, that’s not all! We just received word that the folks at FANGO intend to end the year strong with some major announcements for the FANGORIA Podcast Network!

NOT ONLY is Shock Waves now under The FANGORIA Podcast Network, but they are also now the proud host of Attack of the Queerwolf . If that wasn’t enough, the trio is back for season two of Casualty Friday! And that isn’t even the half of it! There’s so much FANGO goodness on its way to your air pods and ear holes it’s downright scary! That’s why we’re here to guide you through the set of announcements in this celebration of FANGORIA the 13th .

SHOCK WAVES

The renowned horror podcast just announced that they will now live under the FANGORIA Podcast Network.

“We all grew up with FANGORIA Magazine, and most of us have contributed at some point, which is a dream come true in itself. Now, with shows like Post Mortem with Mick Garris and The Movie Crypt, FANGORIA has built, hands down, the best horror podcast network there is. It makes perfect sense for Blumhouse to team up with FANGORIA to bring Shock Waves to the FANGO audience and beyond. We’re thrilled to be here,” the Shock Waves team stated.

The first episode of Shock Waves on The FANGORIA Podcast Network is live today with episode 170. The hosts will count down their top 10 horror movies of 2019, followed next week with a major countdown of their 10 favorite horror films of the entire decade!

CASUALTY FRIDAY

Also dropping today is the season premiere of season 2 of Casualty Friday. Casualty Friday hosts Felissa Rose, Kane Hodder, and Tiffany Shepis are back with their bloody brand of hilarious and surprisingly heartfelt discussions on the trials and tribulations of being a convention circuit horror star. The 8-episode season 2 is gearing up to deliver the goods as the trio are now welcoming multiple guests onto the show including Danielle Harris, Bill Moseley, Christine Elise and Adam Green.

ATTACK OF THE QUEERWOLF

The FANGORIA Podcast Network is also acquiring Attack of the Queerwolf. On each episode of Queerwolf, hosts Michael Kennedy, Nay Bever, and Brennan Klein break down horror films from a queer perspective while interweaving details and anecdotes from their own lives. The show utilizes horror as a vehicle for critical discussions about society, homophobia, mental health, and other issues that the queer persuasion faces in the modern age.

“It’s a dream come true to join the ranks of the iconic lineup on the FANGORIA Podcast Network,” raves host Brennan Klein. “We’ve been working hard to cultivate a show that celebrates the horror community and every identity within it, and we plan to double down on that in this new season, thanks to FANGORIA’s unparalleled position in the horror landscape.”

Season 2 of Queerwolf launches on Thursday, December 19 with a holiday special, followed by new episodes every other week. This time around, the gang will be covering everything ranging from minted classics like The Rocky Horror Picture Show and An American Werewolf in London, to not-so-minted classics like Ginger Snaps 2: Unleashed.

POST MORTEM WITH MICK GARRIS

As Post Mortem enters its fourth season this coming January, Mick and producer Joe Russo are excited to welcome a TON of amazing new guests, including: Lloyd Kaufman, David Schow, Duncan Jones with composer Clint Mansell (Requiem for a Dream), Matt Frewer, Osgood Perkins, and Tom Savini.

For fans in the LA area, you can join Mick’s upcoming conversation with Duncan Jones and composer Clint Mansell live at the 10th anniversary screening of Moon. This event will be the first of a series of live episodes of Post Mortem at the Alamo Drafthouse DTLA. Look to FANGORIA and Post Mortem social media channels for more show announcements!

THE CREEPSHOW SHOW

As companion content to the Shudder series, The FANGORIA Podcast Network’s The Creepshow Show will stream on Shudder. Featuring FANGORIA’s own Brandon Wainerdi, James Wallace, and Natasha Pascetta, each segment will see the FANGO crew diving into each Creepshow episode with in-depth discussions and interviews with the show’s cast and creators.

THE MOVIE CRYPT

Last but not least, anyone who’s listened to a single episode of The Movie Crypt is well aware of Adam Green’s adorable Yorkshire Terrier sidekick, Arwen. Well this year, to support the rescue of abandoned and abused Yorkies, Adam and co-host Joe Lynch are hosting another 48-hour movie and entertainment extravaganza, proudly sponsored by FANGORIA.

Starting at 5PM today the guys will remain live on the air for two days straight to benefit the Save a Yorkie Rescue. The annual variety show will feature over 70 celebrity artists and special guests appearing around the clock performing live comedy, music, film commentaries, script readings, special FX demonstrations, and more.

Fans can bid on live auction items donated to the cause from Arwen’s friends like Slash from Guns N Roses, Impractical Jokers star Brian “Q” Quinn, comedian Doug Benson, and more. Tune in LIVE to the Yorkiethon on www.ariescope.com or listen live on the FANGORIA Podcast Network. The marathon is free for all to enjoy, but fans can help save Yorkies by making a donation at www.GoFundMe.com/Yorkiethon2019, or by bidding on silent auction items.

We at Dread Central couldn’t be more excited about all the incredible things our friends at FANGO are up to and can only imagine what else 2020 has in store for us! Happy FANGORIA the 13th everyone!
