John Krasinski’s A Quiet Place: Part II has wrapped filming and will be (silently) sneaking into a theater near you in March 2020. And today we’ve learned the trailer will be hitting us on New Year’s Day. Check out a quick teaser below!
The sequel centers on the surviving members of the Abbott family who must fight for survival – along with a mysterious stranger – against those otherworldly creatures that hunt by sound.
Emily Blunt returns as Evelyn Abbott along with Millicent Simmonds as Regan Abbott and Noah Jupe as Marcus Abbott. Cillian Murphy and Djimon Hounsou join them in unknown roles.
A Quiet Place: Part II is written and directed by John Krasinski and produced by Michael Bay, Andrew Form, and Brad Fuller. Paramount Pictures initially planned to release the film on May 15, 2020, but will now unleash A Quiet Place: Part II in theaters on March 20, 2020.
The original film was directed by John Krasinski from a screenplay written by Bryan Woods and Scott Beck. Michael Bay, Andrew Form, and Brad Fuller produced and it starred Krasinski and Emily Blunt. Paramount Pictures released it back on April 6, 2018.
It scored a killer 95% approval rating over on Rotten Tomatoes with a Critics Consensus that reads: “A Quiet Place artfully plays on elemental fears with a ruthlessly intelligent creature feature that’s as original as it is scary — and establishes director John Krasinski as a rising talent.”
