This Day in Horror: Happy Birthday Barbara Crampton
Born on this day in 1958: Barbara Crampton
Actress Barbara Crampton is best known for two genres: soap operas and horror films. We are going to focus on the horror films.
One of her earliest films was Re-Animator, the cult classic which is probably best known for a scene in which Crampton’s character, Megan, is sexually abused by a reanimated, decapitated head. Other horror films to Crampton’s credit include: From Beyond, Chopping Mall, Puppetmaster, Castle Freak, You’re Next, The Lords of Salem, We Are Still Here, Tales of Halloween, Beyond the Gates, Puppet Master: The Littlest Reich, Reborn, Deathcember, and Death House.
Crampton is producing a remake of Stuart Gordon’s Castle Freak, a direct-to-video classic in which she played Susan, whose husband inherits a medieval castle, only to discover a “freak” comes with it.
