THE NEW MUTANTS Is Original Director’s Cut

The Stand director Josh Boone’s X-Men horror movie The New Mutants with Anya Taylor-Joy, Maisie Williams, Charlie Heaton, Henry Zaga, Blu Hunt, and Alice Braga will finally be unleashed on April 3rd with a “phenomenal” new trailer hitting next Monday.

Boone shared the update over on Instagram responding to a fan asking if this version will be what Boone originally shot. To which Boone replied, “I wouldn’t be promoting it here if it wasn’t.”

Check out a screenshot of the exchange below.

Boone recently posted on Instagram: “New trailer supervised by myself, co-writer Knate Lee and color corrected by the great Peter Deming arrives January 6th. We’re very excited to share it with you! In theaters everywhere April 3rd!“

New Mutants is directed by Josh Boone and produced by Simon Kinberg, Karen Rosenfelt, and Lauren Shuler Donner from a script by Boone and Knate Lee based on the comic by Chris Claremont and Bob McLeod. It centers on five young mutants, just discovering their abilities while held in a facility against their will, who must fight to escape their sins and save themselves.

It stars Anya Taylor-Joy as Illyana Rasputin / Magik, Maisie Williams as Rahne Sinclair / Wolfsbane, Charlie Heaton as Sam Guthrie / Cannonball, Henry Zaga as Roberto da Costa / Sunspot, Blu Hunt as Danielle Moonstar / Mirage, Alice Braga as Cecilia Reyes, and (maybe) Jon Hamm.

The New Mutants is scheduled to be released in the United States on April 3, 2020. Are you excited? Let us know in the comments below or on Facebook, Twitter, or Instagram
