Sam Raimi Wants To Direct EVIL DEAD 4 With Bruce Campbell

Well, it looks like The Evil Dead and Drag Me to Hell director Sam Raimi would love to make Evil Dead 4 starring Bruce Campbell! During an AMA on Reddit, Raimi said:

I would love to direct a new Evil Dead movie… but I’d really like to do it with Bruce. And he says he’s retired the character. I hope not.”

And as far as the future of the franchise goes, Raimi said: “Bruce, Rob [Tapert] and I are working with a young filmmaker who is writing a new Evil Dead story that he will direct.”

How badly do you want to see Sam Raimi direct a new Evil Dead movie starring Bruce Campbell? Let us know in the comments below or on Facebook, Twitter, or Instagram

Raimi’s original The Evil Dead centered on Ashley “Ash” Williams (Bruce Campbell), his girlfriend and three pals hike into the woods to a cabin for a fun night away. There they find an old book, the Necronomicon, whose text reawakens the dead when it’s read aloud. The friends inadvertently release a flood of evil and must fight for their lives or become one of the evil dead. Ash watches his friends become possessed, and must make a difficult decision before daybreak to save his own life in this, the first of Sam Raimi’s trilogy.

The Evil Dead was written and directed by Raimi. Robert Tapert produced. It starred Bruce Campbell, Ellen Sandweiss, Hal Delrich, Betsy Baker, and Theresa Tilly. BUY IT HERE.
