The Ring Sneaks Quietly onto Blu-ray

Oh, Paramount! You’re such devils! We just never know what we’re gonna find in the mail here at the Dread Central offices. Today we got a box. In it we found a Blu-ray covered in blue and black tissue paper. When all was said and done, we were staring at The Ring on Blu-ray.
My first thought: “DC reader Kidd Capone is about to pop a boner and shit his pants.” Every time we do a “coming to Blu-ray” story, he comments, “But where’s The Ring?”
Here it is. No fanfare. No press notice. It’s not listed on the Internet anywhere. On the box there was a sticker… “BEST BUY EXCLUSIVE”. Surely the Best Buy website would have it listed, right? Wrong. It’s not there. In fact, we couldn’t find artwork anywhere so we broke out the scanner so you guys can see we’re not crazy! It even has a cool lenticular sleeve, which is why we added three pics! Dig it!
Look for the film in Best Buy stores on March 20th, 2012, for $19.99.
