Thesiger was a British actor whose first American film was in James Whale’s The Old Dark House. Thesiger played Horace Femm, a man who offers shelter to several people who are caught in a storm. His house is full of mysteries and mayhem, leading to a threatening evening.
Most notably, Thesiger appeared as Doctor Pretorius in Whale’s Bride of Frankenstein. Doctor Pretorius is a true mad scientist who persuades Doctor Frankenstein to resume his diabolical experiments.
