This Day in Horror: Happy Birthday Bridget Fonda
Born on this day in 1964: actress Bridget Fonda
Born into a family of actors (including grandfather Henry Fonda, father Peter Fonda, and aunt Jane Fonda) it seemed a given that Bridget would turn to acting. And she did, making her on-screen debut as a hippie commune child at age five in her dad’s film Easy Rider.
Fonda’s genre credits include Frankenstein Unbound, Roger Corman’s final directorial project (so far), in which she played Mary Shelley, who is writing her Frankenstein novel based on true events; Single White Female, in which she plays Allie, the subject of her obsessive roommate’s fascination; and Lake Placid, in which she played paleontologist Kelly Scott who investigates the rumors around the lake.
