This Day in Horror: Happy Birthday Sarah Butler
Sarah Butler’s first feature film was the made-for-TV movie Flu Bird Horror (2008) the actress is best known for her turn as Jennifer in 2010’s I Spit on your Grave and I Spit on Your Grave: Vengeance is Mine in 2015. It’s ironic that one of her first gigs was playing Belle, the princess in Beauty and the Beast, for a year and a half at Disneyland.
As for the controversial nature of I Spit on Your Grave (a remake of the 1978 cult film of the same title) and its sequel, Butler was initially put off by the film’s nudity and violence, the film’s strong character arc and “feminist edge” helped convince her to take the role.
All of us here at Dread Central wish Sarah Butler a very happy birthday!
