This Day in Horror: Happy Birthday Angus Sampson
Before becoming incredibly well known in the horror genre, Angus Sampson (who goes by the nickname Gussy) was named one of the world’s Sexiest 27 people in 2007 by Who Weekly Magazine.
He became an icon of 21st Century horror for his portrayal of Tucker in the Insidious franchise. Along with Specs (played by Leigh Whannell), they serve as sidekicks to psychic warrior Elise Rainier (played by Lin Shaye). In addition to the Insidious movies, Sampson has appeared in 100 Bloody Acres, Mad Max: Fury Road, and Winchester. He’s appeared on the small screen as well in Fargo, Nightflyers, and The Walking Dead.
Look for him next in Next Goal Wins, an adaptation of the 2014 British soccer documentary, written and directed by Taika Waititi.
All of us here at Dread Central wish Angus Sampson a very happy birthday!
