I couldn’t stop raving about David Fincher’s The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo for a few months. And while I loved the whole film, top to bottom, it’s the brilliant title sequence that gets your attention and draws you in. So it’s no surprise to hear that its creator, Tim Miller, has landed a director’s gig.
According to Deadline, Miller will take the helm on Gravel, an adaptation by Legendary Pictures of a Warren Ellis title about a British S.A.S. solider who wields deadly magic and battles hordes of demons by night. So, yeah, the potential is there for this to be one kickass experience.
Legendary will produce the project with Rick Alexander with Ellis as executive producer. Oliver Butcher and Stephen Cornwell are writing the script.
And for those of you who’ve not yet seen Miller’s incredible work in the Fincher film – shame on you! But seriously, it’s out on Blu-ray real soon, and I can’t recommend it enough. If you really can’t wait to see it in 1080p, however, dig on it below and tell me that Miller isn’t the right guy for this job.
