Images of Jason Mask & Machete from Abandoned FRIDAY THE 13TH TV Series/Movie Surface Online

Back in 2014, SOTA was hired to produce new Jason Voorhees concept masks and a machete for a proposed Friday the 13th TV series and film in the works at Paramount. Though neither project came to fruition, images of the masks and machete surfaced online this weekend on FridayThe13thFranchise.com. Check them out below.

Per FridayThe13thFranchise.com:

SOTA FX was hired to create the effects for the television show and also worked on effects for the 2016 film. After both projects flamed out, their shop had in their possession numerous pieces of art, maquettes, and latex masks representing Jason Voorhees’ new look.

SOTA is the same studio I visited in Chronic Horror Episode 4; for a deeper look into the studio where nightmares are made, give the episode a spin below.

What do you think of these abandoned masks and props for Friday the 13th from SOTA? Let us know in the comments below or on Facebook, Twitter, or Instagram! You can also carry on the convo with me personally on Twitter @josh_millican.
