RETURN OF THE LIVING DEAD Sequel Comic REVENGE OF THE LIVING DEAD Hits Next Month
Dan O’Bannon’s zombie horror-comedy classic The Return of the Living Dead is getting a sequel in the form of a new graphic novel dubbed The Revenge of the Living Dead.
Billed as “the unofficial continuation” of ‘OBannon’s classic, The Revenge of the Living Dead picks up right after the events of the first movie and is based on a treatment by Don Calfa.

Writer Gary Smart tells Bloody Disgusting: “In 2006, Don Calfa and I discussed making his treatment into a graphic novel. For five years we worked on it with the help of Christian Sellers and Craig Hutchings. We had a full printed version complete. Don took them to conventions with him and that was it. Before he died we discussed re-making our draft version but when Don was taken ill with dementia, communication got harder and harder.”
He continues: “For the past 2-years since Don’s passing, Jason Miller and I have been working on the revamped version in memory of Don. This is not a money-maker hence the low price and limited numbers. It’s a tribute to Don and his legacy.”
