Caesar’s Legacy WILL Continue in New PLANET OF THE APES
Recently we heard that 20th Century Studios and The Maze Runner trilogy director Wes Ball’s upcoming Planet of the Apes flick was looking to – once again – reboot the original 1968 film.
But today, Ball let us know that the new film WILL continue Caesar’s legacy from the recent Planet of the Apes trilogy, which included Rupert Wyatt’s Rise of the Planet of the Apes and Matt Reeves’ Dawn of the Planet of the Apes and War for the Planet of the Apes.

Ball took to Twitter to let us know this update, writing: “Don’t worry. I won’t ruin the surprises, but it’s safe to say Caesar’s legacy will continue…“

Wes Ball will write and direct this new Planet of the Apes with David Starke and Joe Hartwick Jr producing. The film is looking to begin shooting later this year, for a release sometime in 2022.
