New EVIL DEAD May Shoot Later This Year!
Bruce Campbell, who has retired from the role of Ash, will serve as a producer on the new Evil Dead flick Sam Raimi teased last year. And today, Campbell let slip that the new movie may begin filming later this year.
Campbell tells Horror Bound: “We’re producing more Evil Dead movies. Maybe one later this year. Sam Raimi has handpicked the next guy to make another creepy Evil Dead. It just won’t have Ash. Yeah, it is cool. There are more stories to tell, sir.”

Raimi’s original The Evil Dead centered on Ash Williams, his girlfriend and three pals who hike into the woods to a cabin for a fun night away. There they find an old book, the Necronomicon, whose text reawakens the dead when it’s read aloud. The friends inadvertently release a flood of evil and must fight for their lives or become one of the evil dead. Ash watches his friends become possessed, and must make a difficult decision before daybreak to save his own life.
