On the Case: Help Us Solve the Mystery of a Creepy Ventriloquist Dummy Found in the Rio Grande!

Over the weekend, images of a ventriloquist dummy fished out of the Rio Grande made waves across the internet. Folks are alleging residents of a border town in Mexico noticed something wrapped in a tarp, floating in the river. About the size of a child, people feared the worst, but what they found was perhaps just as terrifying as a small corpse: A dummy. Sure, all dummies are creepy (The Uncanny Valley personified), but this guy puts Billy from Dead Silence to shame!

The town’s residents were so alarmed by their discovery, they did what many of us probably would have suggested: They burned it!

The story was traced back to the HighStrangeness Reddit channel, posted by user LackOfABetterName:

“This was found in the Rio Grande River which cuts between Texas and Mexico. I’ve tried to find an article about this but came up with a whole lot of nothing. Look at the hands, people say you can say a face(s) in the flames.”

We also searched for the origin of this story but came up empty. So we’re turning to you, our intrepid readers: What do you think of this incredible story?
