Jason Blum on PARANORMAL ACTIVITY Reboot: “We’re Writing The Treatment”
As we all know good and well by this point in time, Paramount has a new entry in Blumhouse’s hit found-footage franchise Paranormal Activity headed our way in March 2021.
Recently Blumhouse head Jason Blum spoke with our buddies over at Bloody Disgusting and updated them on the status of the new film.

Blum says: “The answer is, I don’t know. I guess we’re about to find out, but I don’t know. It’s something that we’re talking about, but I don’t know what it’s going to wind up being. We’re writing the treatment. That’s it. It’s not going to be ten thousand dollars. It might be ten million dollars. I don’t know how much it’s going to be but it’s not going to be ten thousand dollars.”

The last installment in the found-footage franchise was Gregory Plotkin’s Paranormal Activity: The Ghost Dimension starring Chris J. Murray, Brit Shaw, and Ivy George back in 2015.

It followed a family preparing for Christmas in their new home. After finding an old and mysterious camcorder, the father quickly learns it can record strange apparitions invisible to the naked eye. When the young daughter starts talking to an imaginary friend and displaying strange behavior, the couple soon finds themselves in a terrifying battle with a supernatural force.
