A Legendary Slayer is Headed Our Way!

And the crazy news day continues with another story of monsters and slayers looking to slash their way into our hearts via the fine folks over at Legendary Pictures. Read on for the skinny!

According to Variety, Legendary Pictures has acquired Martin Helgeland’s spec script Slayer, a modern-day action film about a young doctor who discovers he’s the last in a long line of dragonslayers after his estranged father dies.

Alex Garcia and Alex Hedlund will oversee the fantasy flick for Legendary, and the project will fall under Legendary’s overall agreement with Warner Bros.

Legendary is currently producing Sergei Bodrov’s Jeff Bridges project Seventh Son. The company’s upcoming releases include Wrath of the Titans, The Dark Knight Rises, Man of Steel, Pacific Rim, Godzilla and Jack the Giant Killer.
