Netflix Has Cancelled MARIANNE

Netflix’s original series Marianne will not be getting a second season. Creator Samuel Bodin took to Instagram to let us all know the bad news, writing: “There won’t be a second season for Marianne. We are very sorry and sad about that. But we will see you in other stories.”

Check out his post below.

It tells the tale of a novelist who realizes her terrifying stories are coming true, and she returns to her hometown to face the demons from her past that inspire her writing.

The first season sports a killer 93% approval rating over on Rotten Tomatoes with a Critics Consensus that reads: Smart and scary with the most unsettling pair of eyes since Nicolas Cage in Vampire’s Kiss, Marianne is pure nightmare fuel.

If that wasn’t enough, Mr. Stephen King praised the series last year, tweeting:

It was created & directed by Samuel Bodin who also wrote the series along with Quoc Dang Tran. It starred Victoire Du Bois, Lucie Boujenah, Tiphaine Daviot, Ralph Amoussou, Bellamine Abdelmalek, Mehdi Meskar, Alban Lenoir, Mireille Herbstmeyer, and Pierre Aussedat.

All 8 episodes hit Netflix back in September. Stream it HERE
