The HBO series will cover the events of the original game. So fittingly, the game’s writer and creative director Neil Druckmann will work with Mazin to pen and executive produce.

Mazin and Druckmann will write and executive produce the series. Carolyn Strauss will also executive produce along with Evan Wells. The project will be the first television series from PlayStation Productions and is a co-production with Sony Pictures Television.
