Let’s face it… by virtue of the fact that a horror film is featuring lesbian werewolves as its main characters, there’s only one possible rating that the Motion Picture Association of America would give Jack & Diane, and it’s certainly not PG-13.
The R rating is for strong sexual content including nudity and an assault, bloody violence, language and drinking – all involving teens.
My god! There’s an assault in this flick! I swear these folks just make things up as they go along.
Magnolia has taken worldwide rights to Jack and Diane, written and directed by Bradley Rust Gray. Juno Temple, Riley Keough, Cara Seymour, and Kylie Minogue star. Look for it in theaters June 1st.
Synopsis:
Jack and Diane, two teenage girls, meet in New York City and spend the night kissing ferociously. Diane’s charming innocence quickly begins to open Jack’s tough-skinned heart. But when Jack discovers that Diane is leaving the country in a week, she tries to push her away. Diane struggles to keep their love alive while hiding a secret that her newly awakened sexual desire is turning her into a werewolf.
