Blumhouse HALLOWEEN HORROR NIGHTS Movie In The Works

For those that somehow don’t know, Halloween Horror Nights is an annual event that occurs at Universal Studios. It features haunted houses, scare-zones, and live entertainment, with an intended audience of teenagers and young adults. Sounds perfect for Blumhouse, huh?

Well, it turns out Blumhouse head honcho, Jason Blum feels the same way.

Jason Blum tells Collider: “Yes! Definitely! We’ve actually talked about it. We haven’t quite figured it out, but there’s definitely a movie in Halloween Horror Nights somewhere.”

Up next for Blumhouse is the release of director Craig Zobel’s controversial flick The Hunt with Betty Gilpin, Emma Roberts, and Hilary Swank. The film was originally scheduled for release back in September but following the Dayton and El Paso mass shootings, Universal Pictures decided to shelve the release of the film, which will now hit a theater near you on March 13, 2020.

Loosely based on Richard Connell’s short story The Most Dangerous Game, the film follows 12 strangers who mysteriously wake up in a clearing. They do not know where they are or how they got there. They discover that they have been chosen to be hunted in a game devised by a group of elites. The hunters gather in a remote facility called the Manor House, but their sport gets derailed when one of the hunted, Crystal, fights back and starts killing them one by one.
