Video: Does Clive Barker Resent HELLRAISER Fandom?
Hellraiser is one of the most cherished yet simultaneously turbulent franchises in all of horror history. Despite amassing legions of fans, most would argue there hasn’t been a decent cinematic installment since Bloodline was released in 1996. Still, genre aficionados can’t get enough of Pinhead, Leviathan, and the beautiful grotesquery created by Clive Barker.

With news and rumors of a new Hellraiser reboot swirling over the past year, is there hope for a new, rebooted franchise on the horizon, and will Braker have any involvement whatsoever? One of the most shocking postulations he makes is that Barker actually resents Hellraiser fandom, and he points to the literary follow-up to The Hellbound Heart, The Scarlet Gospels, published in 2015, as proof.
