DEATH HOUSE/THE SPECIAL Director B. Harrison Smith Launching True-Story Podcast Set in 1980s
Horror and Hollywood are coming together in an effort to bring something lighthearted to people shut in by the Coronavirus.
Filmmaker B. Harrison Smith made waves in 2017 with the release of Death House, a film journalists dubbed “The Expendables of Horror” for its sheer number of genre icons included in the production. His most recent feature, The Special, will see distribution sometime in 2020 (we’ll keep you updated!). His most recent project is a podcast, based on true events and set in the 1980s. Look for it to premiere in April on all major platforms.

“With the darkness of a viral pandemic gripping the US and world, High School Crimes and Misdemeanors takes us back to the 80s in this true-story podcast,” Smith tells us exclusively. “It’s an autobiographical tale that takes us back to the Reagan 80s and a class president charged with saving the Class of 1985 from financial ruin by all means necessary.
“It was a simpler time compared to what’s going on now and most of all…this happened.”
High School Crimes and Misdemeanors will feature the vocal talents of Felissa Rose (Sleepaway Camp) Amanda Wyss (A Nightmare on Elm Street), Cody Longo (Piranha 3-D, Death House), Cortney Palm (Zombeavers, Sushi Girl, Death House), Lauren Compton (Death House, Clown Town), C. Thomas Howell, Tori Spelling, and Dean McDermott.
