Christopher Nolan’s TENET Holds July Release Anticipating Theaters Will Be Back By Then

While more and more movies are getting delayed each day, it looks like writer-director Christopher Nolan’s super-secret new film Tenet starring John David Washington, Robert Pattinson, Elizabeth Debicki, Aaron Taylor-Johnson, and Kenneth Branagh will stay firm on its July 17 release date in anticipation the global theatrical marketplace will be well by then.

Let’s hope they’re right.

While the film has been described as “an action epic evolving from the world of international espionage” Nolan recently told EW a bit more about the film, revealing:

We’re jumping off from the point of view of an espionage film, but we’re going to a number of different places. We’re crossing a few different genres in a hopefully exciting and fresh way. Emma [Thomas] and I have put together a lot of large-scale productions, but this is certainly the biggest in terms of international reach. We shot in seven countries, all over the place, with a massive cast and huge set pieces. There’s no question, it’s the most ambitious film we’ve made.”

Written, directed, and produced by Christopher Nolan (Inception, The Dark Knight, The Dark Knight Rises, Memento, Dunkirk) it is set to be released by Warner Bros. on July 17, 2020.
