A QUIET PLACE PART 2 Rescheduled for Labor Day Release

Originally slated to premiere in March, plans for the theatrical release of A Quiet Place Part II were iced in response to social distancing guidelines established for the current CoronaVirus crisis. Today brings word, however, that Paramount has rescheduled the theatrical release for September 4th. Deadline reports:

“Labor Day weekend, summer B.O.’s finale, is typically the deadest period ever for moviegoing as people head back to school, but with studios and theaters betting that moviegoing explodes later this summer than sooner, with Wonder Woman 1984 on August 14, look for A Quiet Place Part II to redefine the Labor Day frame much like Warner Bros transformed the post-Labor Day period with Stephen King’s IT.”

Synopsis:
The Abbott family must now face the terrors of the outside world as they fight for survival in silence. Forced to venture into the unknown, they realize that the creatures that hunt by sound are not the only threats that lurk beyond the sand path.

A Quiet Place Part II is directed by John Krasinski and stars Emily Blunt, Millicent Simmonds, and Cillian Murphy.
