Meet David Bruckner: Director Of Spyglass’ HELLRAISER Reboot

A few days back, we passed along word that Spyglass’ Hellraiser reboot snagged one of our favorite up-and-coming horror directors out there, David Bruckner. Today, for those peeps out there that might not know, we wanted to give you an insight into the man’s work thus far.

Check it out below!

The Signal: “Crazy in Love”

As glasses are raised for a New Year’s Eve toast, the denizens of the city of Terminus fall prey to a mysterious transmission that pulses through all electronic devices and transforms rational, sane people into murderous, rampaging psychopaths. Fortunately, Ben has managed to avoid having his brain scrambled by the signal, and now he’s determined to make his way through the bedlam that’s sweeping the streets and rescue the woman he loves. It’s not going to be an easy task.

V/H/S: “Amateur Night”

Four petty criminals are hired by a mysterious party to retrieve a rare piece of found footage from a rundown house in the middle of nowhere, they soon realize that the job isn’t going to be as easy as they thought. In the living room, a lifeless body holds court before a hub of old television sets, surrounded by stacks upon stacks of VHS tapes. As they search for the right one, they are treated to a seemingly endless number of horrifying videos, each stranger than the last.

Southbound: “The Accident”

On a desolate stretch of desert highway, weary travelers-two men on the run from their past, a band on their way to the next gig, a man struggling to get home, a brother in search of his long-lost sister and a family on vacation-are forced to confront their worst fears and darkest secrets in these interwoven tales of terror and remorse on the open road…

The Ritual

Following the sudden, violent death of their best mate, four men reunite for a hike through the Scandinavian wilderness. Deep in the black, Nordic forest, they find themselves lost in a hell of sinister nightmares and pagan sacrifices. For these ancient woods are home to a malevolent deity which will force them to face the darkness inside themselves. STREAM IT HERE.

Creepshow: “The Companion” and “The Man in the Suitcase”

The anthology series, based on the iconic 1982 film written by Stephen King and directed by George A. Romero, features original fun and scary stories, helmed by a different director.

Coming soon: The Night House

Reeling from the unexpected death of her husband, Beth (Rebecca Hall) is left alone in the lakeside home he built for her. She tries as best she can to keep together—but then the dreams come. Disturbing visions of a presence in the house call to her, beckoning with a ghostly allure. But the harsh light of day washes away any proof of a haunting. Against the advice of her friends, she begins digging into his belongings, yearning for answers. What she finds are secrets both strange and terrible and a mystery she’s determined to resolve.
