James Gunn: FINAL DESTINATION 2 Is Better Than the Original
Over the weekend, Slither and Super writer-director James Gunn took to Twitter to name a whopping 36 sequels he thinks are better than the originals. It’s a killer list (see below).
But one of the entries that caught my eye the most was Gunn saying that director David R. Else’s Final Destination 2 is better than director James Wong’s original Final Destination.
Hell yeah, it is! Now I don’t know about you but I dig Final Destination 2 WAY MORE than the original. The opening highway crash alone is better than the whole of the previous film.

Other sequels Gunn thinks are better than the originals include Evil Dead 2, Hellboy II, Batman Returns, Blade II, Blade Runner 2049, Bride of Frankenstein, and Gremlins2: The New Batch.

Rated R for strong violent/gruesome accidents, language, drug content, and some nudity, the sequel sports a 48% rating on Rotten Tomatoes with a Critics Consensus that reads: This sequel is little more than an excuse to stage elaborate, gory scenes of characters getting killed off.
