It centers on an international terrorist (Rutger Hauer in his first American role) fresh from mounting a devastating bomb attack in London, who arrives in New York and remains intent upon wreaking further bloody havoc. His preparation is clinical and thorough but he overlooks one thing – the grit and steely determination of one New York cop (Sylvester Stallone).
Nighthawks is directed by Bruce Malmuth and stars Sylvester Stallone, Billy Dee Williams, Lindsay Wagner, Persis Khambatta, Nigel Davenport, and Rutger Hauer. Its score was composed by Keith Emerson. Universal Pictures unleashed it back on April 10, 1981.
