Trailer: Netflix’s THE GRUDGE TV Series JU-ON: ORIGINS

Netflix’s new original series Ju-On: Origins is the first TV series based on the Japanese horror franchise known here in the States as The Grudge. It hits the streaming service on July 3rd.

The official synopsis reads: “The legendary Japanese horror franchise that has become a smash hit worldwide gets its first drama adaptation. In the Netflix Original Series Ju-On: Origins, the story based on a truth more terrifying than fiction returns. Can the people haunted by this house escape from its curse? And what kind of grim incident occurred in this cursed house in the past?”

The last time we saw the series on the screen was in this year’s reboot which centered on a detective who investigates a murder scene that has a connection to a case that her new partner handled in the past. The killings occurred in a haunted house that passes on a ghostly curse to those who dare enter it. Soon, the curse spreads to a terminally ill woman and her husband, and another unsuspecting couple who were in the wrong place at the wrong time.

Hopefully this version is better…
