MR. BOOGEDY Sequel BRIDE OF BOOGEDY Now Streaming on Disney+
Director Oz Scott’s (kinda) hard-to-find Mr. Boogedy sequel Bride of Boogedy is now streaming over on Disney+. Written by Michael Janover (The Philadelphia Experiment), it originally aired as an episode of The Disney Sunday Movie in 1986.
It tells the tale of a 300-year-old ghost looking for a bride while searching – and mischievously disrupting – the festivities of the New England town.
Will you be checking it out with the kiddos this weekend? Make sure to let us know what you think in the comments below or over on Facebook, Twitter, or Instagram!
It stars Richard Masur as Carlton Davis, Mimi Kennedy as Eloise Davis, David Faustino as Corwin Davis, Leonard Frey as Walter Witherspoon (his last role), Howard Witt as William Hanover/Mr. Boogedy, and Eugene Levy as Tom Lynch.
Kristy Swanson, Benjamin Gregory, and John Astin did not reprise their roles from the first film. Gregory had been cast on ALF and was replaced by Joshua Rudoy. Kristy Swanson was replaced by Tammy Lauren. And John Astin’s character, Neil Witherspoon, was removed altogether and was replaced by a similar character, Walter Witherspoon, Neil’s apparent brother, portrayed by the late Leonard Frey.
