This Day in Horror History: Happy Birthday THE PROWLER Director Joseph Zito!
On this day in horror history, one of our favorite directors, Joseph Zito (The Prowler and Friday the 13th: The Final Chapter) was born in New York City in 1946.
Zito is also known for helming the awesome action flicks Missing in Action and Invasion U.S.A. with Chuck Norris and Red Scorpion with Dolph Lundgren.

Zito spent a year of pre-production on Cannon’s Spider-Man, which was evidently never actually made. Too bad. I bet THAT would have been awesome.
On top of helming the slasher classics, The Prowler and Friday the 13th: The Final Chapter, Zito was also the man behind the camera for Alice Cooper’s Friday the 13th Part VI: Jason Lives music video He’s Back (The Man Behind the Mask).
