SCREAM 5 Snags ZODIAC & CASTLE ROCK Screenwriters
Earlier today we passed along word that David Arquette will return in Scream 5. And now we have word that the film has snagged screenwriters James Vanderbilt (Zodiac) and Guy Busick (Ready or Not, Castle Rock). Plot details are under wraps but the film will be an original story co-written by Vanderbilt and Busick.
Vanderbilt will also produce along with Paul Neinstein and William Sherak. Chad Villella, will executive produce alongside franchise creator Kevin Williamson.
Scream 5 will begin shooting later this year in Wilmington, North Carolina.

The film sports a 79% on Rotten Tomatoes with a Critics Consensus that reads: Horror icon Wes Craven’s subversive deconstruction of the genre is sly, witty, and surprisingly effective as a slasher film itself, even if it’s a little too cheeky for some.
Scream is directed by Wes Craven from a screenplay by Kevin Williamson. Cathy Konrad and Cary Woods produced and it starred Neve Campbell, David Arquette, Courteney Cox, Matthew Lillard, Rose McGowan, Skeet Ulrich, and Drew Barrymore.
