With the success of “The Walking Dead” and “The Killing”, it’s no surprise that cable network AMC is looking to keep walking on the dark side of the entertainment fence; and that’s just what they might be doing with “Low Winter Sun.”
According to Deadline, in what has become a network tradition, AMC held its pilot script showcase last week. The annual event, nicknamed by agents and producers “bake-off,” once again featured six scripts identified by AMC brass as the strongest pilot contenders. In a series of presentations, the writers/producers of each project laid out their vision for their show beyond the pilot with the help of visual aids, including demo reels. One of the six scripts that made the cut this year is Chris Mundy‘s “Low Winter Sun”, an adaptation of the New Zealand Gothic murder mystery series.
We’ll keep our ears to the ground for ya on this one. Stay tuned.
