Sequel to Hit Horror Anthology NIGHTMARE CINEMA in the Works?
One of the best horror anthologies since 2007’s Trick ‘r Treat (and one of my honorable mentions for best genre flicks of 2019) is Nightmare Cinema, produced by horror icon Mick Garris. If you missed it last year, seek to remedy that situation immediately!
Nightmare Cinema includes segments from Garris (The Stand, Sleepwalkers), Alejandro Brugués (Juan of the Dead), Joe Dante (Gremlins), Ryûhei Kitamura (Versus), and David Slade (30 Days of Night). Peep the trailer below.
Synopsis:
Five strangers watch their deepest and darkest fears play out before them in an abandoned theater as the Projectionist preys upon their souls with his collection of disturbing films.
On the latest episode of Garris’s Post Mortem podcast (pointed out by our friend Killer Horror Critic), the filmmaker revealed Part 2 is likely in the works.
“There is a very good chance there will be a sequel for Nightmare Cinema…”
Not much else to report at this moment, but we’ll keep our ears to the ground in order to bring you additional details as they emerge. Stay tuned and check back often!
