First Look Pics + Review of Amazon’s Abandoned THE DARK TOWER Series

We all know about Amazon’s abandoned series based on Stephen King’s The Dark Tower from showrunner Glen Mazzara (The Walking Dead) starring Sam Strike as Roland Deschain and Jasper Pääkkönen as The Man in Black.

But today we have something special to share as our buddies over at Lilja’s Library got themselves a copy of the pilot episode plus a handful of pics.

The Dark Tower originally hit the screen back in 2017 in a film directed by Nikolaj Arcel with Idris Elba as Roland Deschain and Matthew McConaughey as The Man in Black. It told the tale of Deschain, the last Gunslinger, who is locked in an eternal battle with the Man in Black. The Gunslinger must prevent the Man in Black from toppling the Dark Tower, the key that holds the universe together. With the fate of worlds at stake, two men collide in the ultimate battle between good and evil.

Rated PG-13 for thematic material including sequences of gun violence and action, the film sports a 16% rating over on Rotten Tomatoes with a Critics Consensus that reads: Go then, there are other Stephen King adaptations than these.
