That said, Halloween (2018) began 40 years after Laurie Strode survived a vicious attack from Michael Myers on Halloween. Locked up in an institution, Myers manages to escape when his bus transfer goes horribly wrong. Laurie now faces a terrifying showdown when the masked madman returns to Haddonfield, Ill. — but this time, she’s ready for him.
Rated R for horror violence and bloody images, language, brief drug use and nudity, it sports a 79% approval rating over on Rotten Tomatoes with a Critics Consensus that reads: Halloween largely wipes the slate clean after decades of disappointing sequels, ignoring increasingly elaborate mythology in favor of basic – yet still effective – ingredients.
Halloween Ends coming on October 15th, 2021.
