SAW: Tobin Bell Supports Another Actor Taking Over Jigsaw
Director Darren Lynn Bousman’s Spiral From the Book of Saw with Chris Rock and Samuel L. Jackson is now set to hit on May 21, 2021.
And today, franchise star Tobin Bell admits that he supports another actor taking over the role of Jigsaw aka John Kramer at some point.
Bell tells ComicBook.com: “[He’s] a King Lear-like character. He’s huge, his world is very large. If the writing is amazing, he’s a character that any actor would be thrilled to have an opportunity to occupy.”
Spiral: From The Book of Saw follows this synopsis:
A sadistic mastermind unleashes a twisted form of justice in SPIRAL, the terrifying new chapter from the book of SAW. Working in the shadow of an esteemed police veteran (Samuel L. Jackson), brash Detective Ezekiel “Zeke” Banks (Chris Rock) and his rookie partner (Max Minghella) take charge of a grisly investigation into murders that are eerily reminiscent of the city’s gruesome past. Unwittingly entrapped in a deepening mystery, Zeke finds himself at the center of the killer’s morbid game.
It’s directed by Darren Lynn Bousman and written by Josh Stolberg and Peter Goldfinger. It stars Chris Rock and Samuel L. Jackson with Max Minghella, Marisol Nichols, and Zoie Palmer. The film was set to hit on May 15, 2020, but has now been delayed until May 21, 2021.
