With COVID Cases Spiking, A24 Puts SAINT MAUD On Hold Indefinitely?
Saint Maud, produced by A24, was slated for an April release before the COVID-19 pandemic shuttered movie theaters nationwide. When it appeared there was a light at the end of the tunnel, the film was rescheduled for July 17th. Today brings word, however, that Saint Maude may be entering “Release Limbo” indefinitely, according to our friends at Bloody Disgusting.
At this time, there is no new release date to announce, but we’ll keep you posted as details emerge. Stay tuned and check back often. In the meantime, give the trailer and synopsis for Saint Maud a look-see below.
Synopsis:
The debut film from writer-director Rose Glass, Saint Maud is a chilling and boldly original vision of faith, madness, and salvation in a fallen world. Maud, a newly devout hospice nurse, becomes obsessed with saving her dying patient’s soul — but sinister forces, and her own sinful past, threaten to put an end to her holy calling.
Morfydd Clark, Jennifer Ehle, Lilly Frazer, Lily Knight, Marcus Hutton, Turlough Convery, and Rosie Sansom star in Saint Maud.
