Michael Bay’s PARANORMAL ACTIVITY Meets CLOVERFIELD Pandemic Thriller Starts Shooting

Deadline reports Michael Bay’s Paranormal Activity and Cloverfield pandemic thriller Songbird began principal photography today.

It’s the first feature film to shoot in LA since the COVID-19 lockdown.

Songbird is directed by Adam Mason (Into The Dark), who wrote the script with Simon Boyes (Misconduct). It stars Demi Moore, Craig Robinson, Paul Walter Hauser, Peter Stormare, Bradley Whitford, and Jenna Ortega.

The pandemic thriller takes place two years in the future. The pandemic has not gone away. Lockdowns have been rolled back and then reinstated and it becomes even more serious as the virus mutates.

Bay produces alongside Goodman, Eben Davidson, Jeanette Volturno, Jason Clark, Marcei Brown, Jessica Malanaphy, and Rick A. Osako.
