William Butler Tell-All Book TAWDRY TALES AND CONFESSIONS Coming This Year

Dark Ink, the publisher that brought you the official biographies of Kane Hodder, Tom Savini, and Steve Johnson (along with dozens of other celebrated horror titles) is thrilled to announce the release of the tell-all biography of actor, writer and director, William Butler! Look for Tawdry Tales and Confessions from Horror’s Boy Next Door sometime in late 2020.

With a foreword written by effects legend, Greg Nicotero, Tawdry Tales and Confessions from Horror’s Boy Next Door tells the story of an overweight teen, in love with monster movies, who transformed himself and went on to become a “Scream King”, being the only actor ever to be on screen with Jason, Leatherface, Freddy and the zombies from Night of the Living Dead.

With insane, hilarious and never before heard behind the scenes stories from classic eighties films, Butler documents his tumultuous and amazing life from an actor to director with a house in the Hollywood Hills to his substance abuse issues, personal struggles, fall from grace and life changing realizations in one beautiful and entertaining biography.

Tawdry Tales will include:
•       Shocking, never before revealed antics from the set of Friday the13th VII, Leatherface: Texas Chainsaw Massacre 3, Tom Savini’s Night of the Living Dead, Ghoulies 2 and many more.
•       The true story of how the sequels Return of the Living Dead 4 and 5 went so horribly wrong.
•       The raw ugly truth of what it’s really like to be a director of small movies for big companies.
•       Unfiltered tales from his 35 years of production with Charles Band.
•       Hilarious stories of Butler’s working experience with Prince, Madonna, Donald Pleasence, Tom Sizemore, Viggo Mortensen, Klaus Kinski, Greg Nicotero, Stuart Gordon, Yvonne DeCarlo and more.
•       Scandalous and hilarious tales from his five years spent as Emmy Winner, Leslie Jordan’s roommate.
•       Dozens of never before seen behind the scenes photos.

Dark Ink will announce the release date and unveil the cover early this Fall, so stay tuned and check back often for details.
