Watch An Evil Pair of Jeans Murder Retail Store Workers in Hilarious Trailer For Horror Comedy SLAXX
There have been plenty of horror movies based around strange and unusual ideas released over the past few years, but we never thought there would be a film about killer jeans. Which happens to be the premise of the upcoming Canadian horror comedy Slaxx, and to prove that it’s actually a real film and not something we just made up, you can view the trailer in the player below. And if you’d like to view a bunch of behind the scenes images, you can head over to the production team’s Facebook page.
The plot of Slaxx will focus on a pair of jeans which somehow becomes possessed, causing it to murder anyone it comes into contact with. We can see from the gruesome trailer that the sinister item of clothing will have the ability to move around on its own, and will even be able to choke its victims by wrapping itself around their throats. It sounds like most of Slaxx will take place in a high end fashion store, so there’s probably a metaphor for how beauty is only skin deep in there somewhere.
Slaxx was directed by Elza Kephart, who previously helmed the 2003 horror comedy Graveyard Alive. Kephart also wrote the screenplay for Slaxx alongside Patricia Gomez. The film was shot last year in Montreal, and stars Romane Denis, Sehar Bhojani, Kenny Wong, Brett Donahue, Tianna Nori, Stephen Bogaert, and Erica Anderson. It will premiere at the Fantasia International Film Festival before being released theatrically in Canada by distributor FilmOption on August 26, 2020. We have to admit, the premise of this movie sounds so unique that it’s already got us hooked, so we eagerly await news of US distribution.
