Trailer: Cult Horror BENDER About America’s First Serial Killing Family Acquired by Epix & Hulu
The little known true story of the “Bloody Benders,” America’s first serial killing family, is now acquired by Epix, to stream on the company’s platform as well as Amazon and Hulu. Check out the UK trailer for Bender (where the film was released as The Family) and read more about the movie below.
Synopsis:
The unsettling true story of America’s first serial killing family. A troubled doctor searches for patients swallowed by the prairie and encounters the Benders, homesteaders trapped by a life of unspeakable sin.
A chillingly spare interpretation of true crime, Bender is produced by Casadelic
Pictures with Crook & Nanny Productions, marking the directorial debut feature of
John Alexander (This Is Love). Epix’s acquisition is announced three years after
the film’s North American release by Screen Media Ventures.
Bender stars Oscar nominee Bruce Davison (X-Men) and the late horror icon James
Karen (Return of the Living Dead). Bender won a Golden Strands Award for Outstanding Ensemble Cast before enjoying a growing presence in the international cult/horror scenes, with sales in Europe, Africa, Asia, and the USA.
