HALLOWEEN: John Carpenter Thought Blumhouse’s Michael Myers Mask Looked “Like Sh*t”

Here’s a fun little story. Evidently when Halloween creator John Carpenter was first shown the mask for Blumhouse’s 2018 Halloween sequel …

He said it looked like shit.

Designer Christopher Nelson tells The Thing With Two Heads: “[director] David Gordon Green comes to me and goes, ‘Hey, have you gone and shown John the mask yet?’ and I go, ‘No, should I?’ and he goes, ‘Yeah, show him the mask. And I go downstairs and I’m all excited to show John the mask and John’s sitting at the monitor and I walk up … and I go, ‘Hey John, what do you think of the mask?’ and he goes, ‘Looks like sh-t.’‘”

He adds: “I expected him to say that that was what I wanted to hear.”

Hahaha. Good old Carpenter the curmudgeon.

Halloween Kills hits theaters on October 15, 2021, and Halloween Ends follows on October 14, 2022. Are you excited? Let us know what you think in the comments below or on Facebook, Twitter, or Instagram!
