Chloe Moretz Dead and Loving it in MaggieWhile other actors who gain popularity usually turn their backs on the horror genre considering it “beneath them”, Chloe Moretz, (Carrie, Dark Shadows, Let Me In) seems to just revel in it, and we love her for it! And now … it’s time to really play dead!

According to Variety Moretz is in negotiations to play a zombie alongside Paddy Considine in Maggie, which Inferno Entertainment will finance and handle international sales for at Cannes. Commercial helmer Henry Hobson will make his feature directorial debut working with a Black List script from John Scott 3.

Set against the backdrop of a zombie apocalypse, the story concerns a father’s unconditional love for his daughter. Considine is in talks to play the father, while Moretz would play his titular daughter.

Pierre-Ange Le Pogam is producing the $10 million film, which is scheduled to start production in September. Matthew Baer and Trevor Kaufman will co-produce.
