Place Your Bets: David Arquette’s Least Favorite SCREAM Flick is…
In another recent interview, Scream 5 star David Arquette reflected on the first four films in the infamous franchise and revealed his least favorite.
Duh. Scream 3.
Arquette says: “We had to throw the script out at the beginning. They were rewriting the whole time. We’d get pages like on the day of shooting. It was just kind of all over the place. It’s interesting and it’s funny but it’s a different tone from the rest.”
So what’s his favorite of the franchise? He tells Daily Mail: “My favorite [of the films] is ‘Scream 1,’ just because that’s where it all started and it was such a surprise how the audience loved it so much. And getting to work with Wes [Craven] for the first time was a real dream come true.”
For those that might not know, Arquette is all set to return as Dewey Riley in Radio Silence’s upcoming Scream 5. Courteney Cox will also return as Gale Weathers with (hopefully) Neve Campbell as Sidney Prescott as well.
Matt Bettinelli-Olpin and Tyler Gillett (Ready or Not) will direct Scream 5 from a screenplay written by James Vanderbilt (The Amazing Spider-Man) and Guy Busick (Castle Rock). It’s set to hit theaters in 2021.
