JOHN WICK Filmmaker Wants to Direct Mahershala Ali in BLADE
It what sounds like a match made in heaven, John Wick director Chad Stahelski would like to helm Marvel’s Blade reboot with Mahershala Ali.
Stahelski tells ComicBook.com: “If the opportunity ever came, I would like to take a stab at… the one that really jumps out to me would be like Blade. If they were going to redo Blade or something like that, just because I feel that one, for some reason, the vampire martial art action vibe. That would be a cool one to stretch and try and reinvent.”

Originally played by Wesley Snipes, Blade is a half-mortal, half-immortal out to avenge his mother’s death and rid the world of vampires.
