Bette Midler, Sarah Jessica Parker & Kathy Najimy in Talks for Disney+ HOCUS POCUS 2
Adam Shankman’s Hocus Pocus 2 is set to begin filming early next year in L.A. and Massachusetts. And today, we hear there have been preliminary talks for Bette Midler, Sarah Jessica Parker, and Kathy Najimy, to return as the Sanderson sisters
The DisInsider claims that while they “can’t confirm whether or not any of them have signed on” they’ve heard from a source that talks have taken place via Zoom.

Shankman (Hairspray) is set to direct from a screenplay written by Workaholics co-writer and producer Jen D’Angelo. No plot details have been revealed yet.
That said, the original centered on a group of kids who accidentally frees a coven of evil witches and with the help of a magical cat must steal the witches’ book of spells to stop them from becoming immortal. It starred Midler, Najimy, and Parker with Thora Birch, Omri Katz, Vinessa Shaw, Jason Marsden, and Doug Jones.
Hocus Pocus was directed by Kenny Ortega from a script by Neil Cuthbert and Mick Garris (The Stand). David Kirschner (Child’s Play) produced with Steven Haft.
